Meet locals Berbers in southern Morocco, stars gazing, camping and hiking by camels in DRAA Valley. Explore with us one of the most beautiful places in the southern Morocco: The Draa valley this valley located in the deep south Morocco, stretches from the high Atlas Mountains into the Sahara desert, the Draa valley is stunning oasis home to Berber villages, sumptuous Kasbahs, streaming sand dunes, lush green plains, and an endless stretches of palm trees. During the ancient time, the river of Draa crossed the Sahara desert and travelled hundreds Of kilometers west until it joined the ATLANTIC ocean . Today, most of this river has dried but its Path still leads through one of the most fascinating landscapes in Morocco. The Berbers of Draa valley still live in ways very similar to those of their ancestors. They ride donkeys, wash their clothes in the river and depend on the clay to build their houses. You will feel transported to an ancient time and will surely find it hard to believe when you reach here. During this trip, you will have the chance to explore Draa valley with a caravan of camels and local Berbers nomads who know all the secrets of their lands. Moreover, you will have the chance to also to ride a camel, enjoy the landscape, eat delicious Berber food and join us in singing our traditional music at the fireplace. You will be able to climb on high sandy dunes and sleep under a sky full of stars. In addition to all of that, you will get to know how people have lived in traditional Kasbahs which exist alongside the Draa valley.

Day 1: Arrival at Marrakesh Manara Airport.

Pick up you from the airport to your hotel among Medina of Marrakech free time then checkout to enjoy the Medina and have dinner out side.

Day 2: Marrakesh—Ouarzazate–Agdez–Zagora–Nasrate village 8-9 hour of driving

Breakfast in the hotel then you will head out towards the south-east and begin your journey crossing the Atlas mountains at Tizi N’Tichka 2260M altitude enjoying beautiful landscapes of the Berber villages . A stop at Argan corporation to get some Argan products in high Atlas. Another stop for lunch in village of Agdez. Then further south to Nasrate village where the campsite was built by our team and a tasty dinner waiting you. Additional members of the crew with camels will be join . Spent your night in the campsite with shared tents among palms. Fire place and stars gazing with traditional music .

Day 3 Nasrate village ——– to Tidri area about 4 hours walking

Wake up to enjoy the shining sunrise among palms. tasty breakfast will be served for you. All equipment and luggage will be carried by camels in addition camels for riding will be available as well . then start to walk to the next campsite. During the walk you will meet locals working in their fields and moving around to do their daily activities. Breaks for rest water and sweet dates will be presented to you. Stop for lunch then dinner in campsite. Fire place and music party at night with how to cook the sand bread in a traditional way.

Day 4 Tidri area——–to Erg Sahel ( about 5 hours walking.)

Wake up among dunes then breakfast. Different landscape will welcome you mix of small mountains dunes and acacia trees probably encounter camels of nomads because the area is fertile and known by nomads families that’s lives in the area. Wild campsite, fire place, dinner and stars gazing.

Day 5 Erg Sahel area——– Oulad Driss village about 4 hours walking

Breakfast and cross the Hamada a flat land then reach the dray part of Draa valley. Campsite , Lunch then you will have the chance to take a shower and relax and enjoy the last night in the Sahara.
Day 6: Oulad Driss – Agdez – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech About 9 hours driving
wake up early and have breakfast then be ready to take the journey toward Marrakesh. Stop in Tamgroute small village before Zagora known by making pottery. Cross to Ait Ben HADDOU Kasbah. Lunch stop in Ouarzazate then continue to Marrakech to spend the night.

Day 7 . transfer to airport.

– Transfer from/to Marrakesh to trek start/finish point. Pick up from/to the airport. – 2 lunches in the road.
– 2 overnight in Marrakech with breakfasts
– 4 nights camping (small tents and mattress are provided),
– camels for luggage, equipment transport and riding. Guiding and cooker.
– all meals during the hiking, drinking water, food based on Moroccan traditional dish camping equipment. Simple WC Tent toilet.
